Gamry to attend The Battery Show in Novi, Michigan, USA
[Philadelphia], [PA], [August 5, 2015] Gamry Instruments will be attending, and be an exhibitor at, The Battery Show in Novi, Michigan.
Gamry will be in attendance at the following conferences, exhibitions, and short courses and we'd love for you to stop by and chat with our electrochemical experts. It's a great way to review the features of the latest Gamry products, or to bring any technical matters or applications questions to our attention.
The Corrosion: Fundamentals and Experimental Methods course covers the fundamentals of corrosion and various electrochemical techniques. Lectures and laboratories are used to illustrate how electrochemical techniques are applied, when they should be used, and how the various techniques can be integrated to solve complex problems. The course will be useful for people entering the corrosion field and for professionals looking for a refresher course.
This course is offered in an online format, with recorded video lectures and lab demonstrations. The course is taught by Dr. Gerald Frankel, Dr. Jenifer Locke, and Dr. Rudy Buchheit, Dean of the College of Engineering, University of Kentucky.

Step into the forefront of scientific discovery at the world’s leading international scientific gathering for materials research—the 2024 MRS Fall Meeting & Exhibit. Our annual fall event returns to the culturally-rich city of Boston, Massachusetts the week of December 1-6, 2024, and will take place at the Hynes Convention Center and adjacent Sheraton Boston Hotel.
The MRS Fall Meeting delivers a combination of interdisciplinary cutting-edge research, innovative technologies, and collaborative networking with the field’s leading minds, which leads to new discoveries in areas ranging from quantum materials to energy and sustainability.
Gamry will be an exhibitor, so stop by to talk with Andrew. Ask him about all the exciting things coming from Gamry.
Presented by Mark Orazem
Recent battery papers commonly employ interpretation models for which diffusion impedances are in series with interfacial impedance. The models are fundamentally flawed because the diffusion impedance should be part of the interfacial impedance. A general approach is presented that shows how the charge-transfer resistance and diffusion resistance are functions of the concentration of reacting species at the electrode surface. The resulting impedance model incorporates diffusion impedances as part of the interfacial impedance.
An interactive Q&A session follows the presentation.
