The 18th international Advanced Battery Power conference will take place from April 14 to 16, 2026. In more than 70 scientific presentations, experts from research and industry will present the latest findings and developments along the entire value chain of battery technology – from material innovations to cell and system design to applications and recycling concepts. The English-language presentations will provide a well-founded overview of the current state of research and, at the same time, open up perspectives for future developments. The thematically diverse sessions will create a platform for the intensive exchange of knowledge and experience between researchers, developers, and users from all over the world.
Gamry will be exhibiting at this conference. If you are attending, stop by and see Dominik.
The Corrosion: Fundamentals and Experimental Methods course covers the fundamentals of corrosion and various electrochemical techniques. Lectures and laboratories are used to illustrate how electrochemical techniques are applied, when they should be used, and how the various techniques can be integrated to solve complex problems. The course will be useful for people entering the corrosion field and for professionals looking for a refresher course.
This course is offered in an online format, with live and recorded video lectures and lab demonstrations. The course is taught by Dr. Gerald Frankel, Dr. Jenifer Locke, and Dr. Rudy Buchheit, Dean of the College of Engineering, University of Kentucky.
Corrosion’s annual estimated impact on our economy is over $1 trillion! The Fundamentals, Experiments, and Applications of Corrosion course is aimed at educating and training the workforce the nation needs to address this problem. This course will develop methodological approaches in characterizing existing and new materials performance in extreme and harsh environments. Learners will develop the knowledge to meet technological and scientific challenges in applications critical for our society.
The 249th ECS Meeting takes place at the Washington State Convention Center in Seattle, WA, from May 24–28, 2026. Anchored by the theme Sustainable Technologies, the meeting underscores the vital role of electrochemistry and solid state science in addressing today’s most pressing sustainability challenges.
Gamry will be an Exhibitor at this conference so stop by the booth and say Hi to Jerome, John and Andrew.
This hands-on workshop covers the full spectrum of Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy applications.
This course is intended for scientists of myriad backgrounds who are interested in unleashing the power of Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy in their respective fields. Suitable for academics as well as industrial researchers, this course will help you use EIS properly with theoretical instruction in addition to hands-on experiments.
Over four days, you will start with the fundamentals of EIS and fitting software (Day 1), then explore batteries and practical battery measurements (Day 2), followed by corrosion mechanisms and impedance experiments (Day 3), and conclude with porous electrode modeling and an interactive roundtable/Q&A session (Day 4).
Meet the Instructors:
Dr. Burak Ülgüt – Electrochemical Fundamentals and Battery EIS - Read Dr. Ülgüt's Bio
Dr. Roberto Spotorno – Corrosion and impedance analysis – Read Dr. Spotorno's Bio
Dr. Miran Gaberšček – Porous electrode modeling and advanced EIS applications – Read Dr. Gaberšček's Bio
Dr. Jacob Ketter – EIS fitting software and data analysis – Read Dr. Ketter's Bio
