2024 - Hardware, Software, Partnerships, and more!
Spring:
The latest version of the DigiElch8 Demo Software was updated, providing enhanced features for electrochemical analysis.
We added several features to Echem Analyst 2 including file merge and file overlay. Now you can stitch together Anodic and Cathodic scans to run Tafel analysis. Or merge impedance data files for equivalent circuit modeling.
Summer:
We demonstrated the LPI1010’s ability to pair with Kikusui power supplies, expanding its capabilities for high voltage EIS up to 1000 V.
We hosted three engaging Live Webinar presentations that have become valuable resources. If you missed them, they are available for viewing in our Video Library:
Impedance And Noise as Non-invasive Battery Analysis Tools – Presented by Dr. Burak Ülgüt
Advanced Ionomer Materials for Electrochemical Separations – Presented by Dr. Chris Arges
Unique Multichannel EIS Measurement for Battery Packs – Presented by Kolibrik
Fall:
We unveiled the RxE 10k Research-Grade Rotator, which features digital (USB) or analog control with rotation rates ranging from 50 to 10,500 rpm—an essential tool for researchers in the field if electrochemistry. It supports RDE, RRDE, and RCE tests and pairs with either an RDE cell kit or RCE cell kit.
ToolkitPy was released for all our users wanting to control their Gamry potentiostat using the Python programming language. It unlocks the full hardware capabilities of our potentiostats, offering even greater versatility for researchers needing to coordinate multiple pieces of equipment with a Gamry potentiostat in a single Python integrated development environment.
We excitedly announced our partnership with Novonix, a leader in battery materials and technology precision, to create a one-of-a-kind Integrated Battery Testing System—a game-changer for the industry.
To close out the year, we updated our Potentiostat Buying Guide to include the newly launched Gamry PAL Portable Potentiostat and introduced a comprehensive section on commonly available accessories.
Looking Ahead: Exciting Things to Come in 2025 While we can’t share all the details just yet, we are thrilled about the innovations we have planned for 2025. Look forward to hardware and software updates, helpful videos, and technical documentation in the coming year.
And don’t forget to stop by and say hello to the Gamry team at the various conferences this year!
New Gamry Products
Gamry PAL
A compact potentiostat made with portability and utility in mind. It’s powerful enough to teach voltammetry in a hands-on classroom with screen-printed electrodes. It’s capable enough for lightweight laboratory testing using the cell cable. You can even take it out with you to run field experiments. The versatility makes it a nice companion to your fully-featured Gamry Potentiostat.
The optional cell cable and adapter lets you connect to glass cell kits like the Dr. Bob’s Cell Kit.
We’re thrilled to announce the expansion of our product offerings with a comprehensive line of Cells, including new sizes for our popular H-Cells and a range of innovative kits designed for advanced applications:
PTFE-Based H-Cell Kits: High-performance cells for demanding electrochemical research.
Photo EC H-Cell Kits: Optimized for photoelectrochemical experiments.
Bulk Electrolysis Cell Kits: Tailored for large-scale electrolysis processes.
These new additions are designed to meet diverse research needs, offering enhanced versatility and precision for your experiments.
Do not rollback or otherwise downgrade the firmware on your Gamry potentiostat. Your potentiostat should be using the latest version of our software that it is compatible with.
You can always check for the latest version of the software by visiting instrument registration.
