FC350™ Fuel Cell Impedance Monitor

The FC350 Fuel Cell Impedance Monitor is designed to measure the electrochemical impedance of operating fuel cells at high current levels.  The FC350 consists of a Digital Controller and an Interface, working in conjunction with an Electronic Load (not provided).

Overview

The FC350 Fuel Cell Impedance Monitor measures the impedance of high current devices in conjunction with an electronic load or power supply. The operating frequency range is 10 uHz to 300 kHz (the upper limit is determined by the load or power supply). The sinusoidal current signal from the FC350 modulates the electronic load or power supply, which, in turn, modulates the fuel cell or battery output. The voltage of the fuel cell or battery is measured directly by the FC350. The FC350 processes these signals to calculate the impedance.

Standard Experiments

  • Galvanostatic EIS
  • Hybrid EIS
  • Cell Potential

Options

  • MultEchem Multiple Channel Instrument
    • Up to 8 FC350 instruments can controlled synchronously to make multiple simultaneous impedance measurements on a stack of batteries or fuel cells.

System Information

The FC350 requires the FC350 Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy Software to operate.
