Mastering EIS
June 22-26, 2026 Gamry Europe Office - Via G. Amendola 27058 Voghera (PV) – ItalyThis hands-on workshop covers the full spectrum of Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy applications.
This course is intended for scientists of myriad backgrounds who are interested in unleashing the power of Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy in their respective fields. Suitable for academics as well as industrial researchers, this course will help you use EIS properly with theoretical instruction in addition to hands-on experiments.
Over four days, you will start with the fundamentals of EIS and fitting software (Day 1), then explore batteries and practical battery measurements (Day 2), followed by corrosion mechanisms and impedance experiments (Day 3), and conclude with porous electrode modeling and an interactive roundtable/Q&A session (Day 4).
Meet the Instructors:
Dr. Burak Ülgüt – Electrochemical Fundamentals and Battery EIS - Read Dr. Ülgüt's Bio
Dr. Roberto Spotorno – Corrosion and impedance analysis – Read Dr. Spotorno's Bio
Dr. Miran Gaberšček – Porous electrode modeling and advanced EIS applications – Read Dr. Gaberšček's Bio

November
38th Annual EIS Short Course
November 2-5, 2026 Philadelphia PA USAA Short Course on Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy:
Theory, Applications, and Laboratory Instruction
(EIS) can provide information on reaction parameters, corrosion rates, oxide characteristics and integrity, surface porosity, coating integrity, mass transport, and many other electrode/interface characteristics. EIS is one of the most powerful methods available in electrochemistry today and is utilized in research and development in essentially every technical sector, e.g., transportation and infrastructure, batteries and fuel cells, medicine, among many others. However, effective utilization of this method has been hindered by the lack of a comprehensive and cohesive explanation of the theory, measurement, and analysis techniques. This course on EIS has been developed to fill this void.
The Fee includes: tuition, refreshment breaks, course notes and all lab supplies.
The course fee does not include lodging. Lodging is available at the Windsor Suites Philadelphia.
There is an early bird discount of $300 for those who register before July 31, 2026.
Registration Deadline is October 22, 2026
