Welcome 2024

Celebrating Gamry's 35th Year

Looking back on 2023 we introduced many new products and services to support our research community and industrial partners.
Let’s take a look:

January was the unveiling of the IMX8 Electrochemical Multiplexer, a staple in the corrosion testing community.

July we added Bioz to our product pages giving researchers the opportunity to conveniently view citations of our instruments in peer-reviewed publications.

August we introduced a new & improved line of Paracell Kits for flat specimens.

September our new Screen-Printed Electrodes were released, followed later that month by the new H-Cell a two-compartment electrochemical cell useful for hydrogen permeation studies.

October our new eQCM, the EQCM 15M replaced the widely popular EQCM 10M, improving our eQCM platform for investigating interfacial phenomena.

November we announced our partnership with Kolibrik High Power EIS Potentiostats to help our fuel cell and electrolyzer community expand their EIS capability.

December we restored our demonstration download of the DigiElch Simulation Softwarea well-known software used to model electrochemical systems.

We can’t tell you everything that’s coming in 2024, but we can’t wait to share what’s in store for researchers like you.
Thank you for all of your support

This course will cover the fundamentals of corrosion and various electrochemical techniques.

Don’t forget to measure the impedance of your reference electrode. In the figure below, the reference electrode is “good enough” to make a proper cyclic voltammetry measurement (figure inset) but causes a very serious high frequency artifact in the impedance spectrum. Usually a frit replacement solves the issue. Results collected using a 3mm Au working electrode in a Dr. Bob’s Cell filled with equimolar ferri-/ferro-cyanide with KCl as supporting electrolyte.
