Spring 2024 eChem Newsletter

eChem Newsletter Spring 2024

It’s already May 2024 and Gamry has been working hard to support our users across the globe. Here are some highlights:

  • Our team has expanded! You may have spotted them at one of the many Spring conferences we’ve attended. Maya and Aaron are here to help you find what you need!
  • A major update to Echem Analyst 2 was released that brought some long-awaited features for improved data analysis. Download a copy of the newest version here. We will continue to roll out feature updates throughout this year. Please look forward to them!
  • THD anyone? Gamry’s Intern, Jie Min (Jammy) Goh, will be presenting the work she accomplished during her internship at the upcoming ECS Spring Conference in San Francisco. View the conference abstract here. The full paper is also available below (open access).

We recommend turning on the cable check feature when using our Electrochemical Energy package for the first time. It is the best way to ensure you’re using the proper connections to your electrochemical device as the connections are instrument dependent. For example, the connections needed in “Full Cell” mode differ between the Interface 5000E potentiostat and the Reference 620 potentiostat (image below). Note the differences in text within the red outlined boxes. For a refresher on the purpose of each lead on our cell cables, check out the technote below.
