Parr’s new high pressure, high temperature Rotating Cylinder Electrode (RCE) system allows for the electrochemical measurement of corrosion rates under extreme temperature and pressure conditions, as described by ASTM standard G 185. The system incorporates a specially designed reference electrode and counter electrode. Wetted components of the system are made from corrosion resistance Alloy C276 and are rated upto 200 bar at 200C. The maximum rotation speed is 2000 RPM.
Parr’s software allows for the measurement of open circuit potential, polarization resistance (LPR) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy using the Gamry Interface 1010B potentiostat.
