Gamry is searching for an Applications Specialist

Position Title:  Applications Specialist 

Experience Level: 4+ Years  

Requirements:   

PhD or MS in chemistry or materials science with a concentration in electrochemistry.  
Sales and marketing experience or training is a plus.
 
Knowledge of one or more languages will be helpful.  
Some  travel required. 

Company Description: Gamry Instruments is a manufacturer of electrochemical laboratory instruments and software.   Founded in 1989, Gamry develops and markets equipment worldwide to end users in various industries including batteries & fuel cells, corrosion prevention, process materials, metals, biomaterials, sensors, and paints & coatings, to name a few.  Gamry is a small, closely held corporation.   

Job Description:  We are looking for a key member of our growing company.  In this job, you will provide technical support and sales assistance to Gamry's US customers and international distributors.  You will provide technical training and applications support.  You will present seminars, attend exhibitions, and visit customer sites.  You will assist in the preparation of marketing and applications literature. 

Other Requirements:  This position calls for an outgoing person with excellent technical skills.   

You must also enjoy being a generalist developing expertise across all aspects of experimental electrochemistry. A passion for problem solving and the ability to "think on your feet" are critical.  

You must have a thorough knowledge of at least one application of laboratory electrochemistry.  The application can be in physical electrochemistry, energy conversion technology, corrosion testing, etc.  You must be able to explain complex technical subject matter into simple, easy-to-understand language.
