The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, system focused and a team player. Being an electronics test & repair technician at Gamry involves varied work. You will test and repair Gamry Instruments products using Windows based PCs running our custom test software. You need to be skilled in dealing with multi-layer PCB’s and surface mount soldering/desoldering, often under a microscope. You also need to be comfortable running semi-automated test procedures on a computer. Gamry's high precision/high speed analog and digital circuits are quite challenging. You must be able to use DVMs, signal generators, and oscilloscopes and understand engineering theory, units and terminology. Analog debugging skills at both the system and component level and surface mount soldering/desoldering skills are essential. You must have knowledge of op amps, A/D and D/A converters, transistor circuits, and switching power supplies. Experience should be in a production test environment – ideally with an instrumentation firm. You will be involved in repair. You must communicate well with engineering, manufacturing management, and the rest of the manufacturing test staff.
