QC-Customer Support Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for an Engineer who specializes in Chemistry to provide technical customer support to clients via phone and email for our electrochemical systems.  Duties will include sales support and in-house customer training.  Some minor travel may be required to visit customer locations or trade shows. The QC/Customer Support Engineer will cultivate relationships with clients in order to enhance loyalty as well as identify and address quality control issues.  The QC/Customer Support Engineer supports the client’s ability to use and maintain their state-of-the-art Gamry Instrument.   

The ideal candidate will be an Engineer with extensive chemistry and/or Physics experience.  Software and electronics experience are a plus.  You should possess a strong working knowledge of Engineering principles and its application in solving complex problems. In this customer support role, you will be the subject matter expert who will provide clients with the knowledge of the features and functionality of their Gamry Instrument.  The QC/Customer Support Engineer will also collect data from clients to be used for corrections, modifications and future engineering of products.  The QC/Customer Support Engineer will report to the Director of Marketing & Development.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional, but relaxed, development and testing environment. This position requires good technical English, and the ability to communicate verbally and in writing.  Work will be at the Gamry offices in Warminster, PA.

Gamry Instruments in Warminster, PA, is a manufacturer of electrochemical instrumentation and equipment.   Founded in 1989, we develop laboratory equipment used for corrosion and materials testing, batteries and power conversion, catalysis, biological monitoring, sensors, and basic research.

Required Education and Experience

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Analytical Chemistry, Physics, Electronics Engineering, Software Engineering, or other instrumental sciences.
  • Scientific instrumentation experience preferred.
