As our favorite educational institution, Gamry has selected the Benjamin Franklin High School Electrons in Philadelphia!  Electrochemists everywhere salute you!  However, their Webmaster has dropped the ball...not once on the Ben Franklin Website do you see the name of their noble mascot -- the Fightin' Electrons.

Researchers in battery, fuel cell, supercap, and solar cell labs have a new advanced test system to characterize potential new products...the PWR800 Electrochemical Energy Software.  It's powerful but easy-to-use software that uses a research quality Potentiostat!

Brrrr!  It's cold in the Northern Hemisphere!  Think I'll stay inside and play with my new Potentiostat!

We're happy to introduce the new VistaShieldFaraday Cage.  The VistaShield has a transparent entry port so you can see your cell.

The Reference 3000 Potentiostat is a 3-amp, USB-based instrument.  It comes in two versions, one of which is especially attractive to battery researchers.  More info...

Transmission Lines are an often-used but ill-understood element for modeling the EIS response of porous electrodes found in batteries, supercaps, etc.  Our new Application Note takes some of the mystery out of Transmission Lines.

Why is your electrochemical data so noisy?!  Because the cell current is low and you're picking up interference from the fluorescent lights and 60 Hz from the grid.  You need a Faraday Cage.

The Annual Meeting of NACE is approaching, bringing with it your opportunity to figure out what this "electrochemistry" stuff is all about.  The symposium on "Use of Electrochemical Techniques for Corrosion Measurement and Monitoring" will be held at 9:00 AM on Sunday, March 14, in the Convention Center in San Antonio.  Click here for more detail.  Remember...you must arrive in San Antonio on Saturday...but it's worth it!

Gamry Software Version 5.60 has been released.  Version 5.60 is compatible with Windows 7, Vista, and XP.  To download Version 5.60, click here.  Should you upgrade to Version 5.60?  Yes!  It has new features, old bugs have been squashed, and it's free.

Gamry Instruments introduces DigiElch 5 Electrochemical Simulation Software from Elchsoft.  DigiElch 5 brings a number of unique features to electrochemical simulation software. From exact 2-D simulation of band and disk microelectrodes to modeling surface adsorption using a Frumkin isotherm, DigiElch5 can simulate a wide range of systems.  On the computational front, DigiElch 5 brings support for multicore CPUs for more efficient calculations and an adaptive grid algorithm for smoother concentration profiles.

The next advancement in corrosion cell design is here!  The MultiPort Corrosion Cell is ready to go to work in your lab.  With SEVEN access points, it's a very adaptable cell!

Can you trust your EIS System to make an accurate EIS measurement?  Unfortunately, the answer may be "No".  Click here for our new Application Note "Quick Check of EIS System Performance".

Gamry is searching for a Sales Engineer to work with our users.  Click here for more details.
