The data file from a Tafel experiment is analyzed using the Tafel analysis package provided with the DC Corrosion software.
Tafel experiments are usually used to obtain quantitative corrosion-rate information. The primary use of the analysis packages is for graphing and numerical curve-fitting.
You can also use the Tafel data in polarization-resistance calculations. Also, if all you need is polarization-resistance information, the polarization resistance technique, with its shorter scan, acquires data more quickly than the Tafel technique.
