251st American Chemical Society National Meeting and Exposition

The 251st ACS National Meeting is being held this year at the San Diego Convention Center March 13-17th, 2016. Gamry will be joined by thousands of chemical professionals, educators, and students for a 5-day meeting filled with learning and networking opportunities. The National Meeting offers a variety of unique networking, presenting, and learning opportunities that can be applied on-the-job.

A visit to the ACS national exposition gives you the chance to meet more than 300 exhibitors, many of whom are showcasing new technological developments. A number of exhibitors also offer free workshops during the meeting so you can learn more about these state-of-the-art technologies.

The theme for this year’s meeting is “Innovation from Computers in Chemistry”.  Numerous events will support that theme, including a plenary session on Sunday, March 13, from 3 to 6 PM.  This session will feature Dr. George C. Schatz Morrison Professor of Chemistry at Northwestern University, Dr. Sharon Hammes-Schiffer Professor of Chemistry, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Dr. David Baker Head of the Institute for Protein Design, University of Washington and Dr. William L. Jorgensen Sterling Professor of Chemistry, Yale University.

Gamry Instruments will be attending and exhibiting at the event and will be represented by Dr. Chris Beasley Electrochemist and Sales Manager and Cynthia Schroll Product Marketing Specialist at Gamry Instruments. The Gamry exhibit can be found at booth #800.  This year Gamry will be introducing some new electrochemical instrumentation and demonstrations.
