Dr. Pete Peterson |

Pete grew up in Georgia and got his B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Georgia and his Ph.D. from the University of South Carolina. After a post-doc appointment at Tulane University, Pete honed his Analytical Chemistry skills at AMAX Nickel Refining in New Orleans. That's what he says. We think he went for Mardi Gras and didn't leave for a few years. Then Pete discovered electrochemistry and moved north to work for Princeton Applied Research, spreading the word that potentiostats were good for you, and that electrochemistry could actually help the corrosion scientist measure corrosion rates. The world of corrosion science hasn't been the same since! |

Luckily, Gamry is not that far from some good windsurfing sites and we were able to lure Pete to Pennsylvania. You've probably seen Pete at NACE, an ECS meeting, or an
ISE meeting someplace around the globe. Wherever you saw him, he was
probably talking with someone about windsurfing at
the Jersey Shore, his dog Katey,
his new
guitar, or maybe even about Gamry Potentiostats!
