The quality of an instrument is important.  The quality of the Technical Support people is equally important.  If you ever need technical support, and you will, you'll find that Gamry has a first-rate group of electrochemists available at the other end of the telephone...or email.

Our software covers the entire range of electrochemistry. Our software packages include Physical Electrochemistry (PHE200) and Pulse Voltammetry (PV220) along with DC Corrosion (DC105), EIS (EIS300), and Electrochemical Noise (ESA400).  We also have a simple front-panel interface (VFP600) and a special system for Fuel Cells (FC350).  Our newest software, the EFM140 Electrochemical Frequency Modulation Software, is a Gamry exclusive.  No other manufacturer offers it.  If you would like your electrochemical software in LabVIEW or other programming language, there's the eChem Toolkit.

Sometimes standard electrochemical techniques will not perform the experiment you need.  With our Open Source Scripting, our hardware and software can be tailored to address your application. Several of our competitors don't publish a noise specification, suggesting it's a value of which they're not very proud. You really shouldn't buy a potentiostat for which the noise level is not specified.

Every Gamry Potentiostat is shipped with the hardware to perform EIS. That's one reason that the price for EIS from Gamry is so attractive. Just install the EIS300 software to start using this powerful technique.

"Doing EIS" and "doing EIS well" can be two very different things! Are you concerned about the accuracy of your EIS measurements?  WE ARE!  Take a look at our EIS Accuracy Contour Plots and check our specifications! Compare them to our competitors! One competitor claims ">1 MHz bandwidth" but when you check the Accuracy Contour Plot for their premier (that means expensive) potentiostat, you'll find that it may exhibit up to a 20% error in impedance and a 25° phase error at 1 MHz! 

8.  Every Gamry Potentiostat works with grounded electrodes!

If you're working on a bridge or pipeline or in an autoclave, one of your electrodes is connected to an earth ground. Not every potentiostat design will perform your experiments. All Gamry Potentiostats have been designed with these experiments in mind, and "floating" operation is standard, not an extra cost option!

9.   Service at a reasonable price with fast turn-around.

Sooner or later, everything needs service and that includes our Potentiostats.  We've heard unpleasant stories about potentiostat repairs costing $2000 (regardless of what's wrong with it) and requiring many weeks to complete. At Gamry, our average price for out-of-warranty repairs is less than $400.  The typical service time is less than seven days between receipt and shipment back to the user.

By the way...
