Rusty, the Gamry Mascot

Rusty is an Iron Spined Spaniel that can always be found in Gamry's reception area.  Rain or shine, day or night, Rusty can be depended upon to bark a friendly greeting to any visitors to GamryLand.

In the early days of Gamry, Max Yaffe was seeking inspiration, as he often does, by wandering through the steel mill in Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania.  As he strolled past Blast Furnace #3, he heard a pitiful yelp from beneath a wheelbarrow. Upon investigation, he found the little fellow on the right with a wicked stress corrosion crack on his back right leg.

At just that moment...like a bolt of lightning...the basic concept of Sub-Harmonic Sampling came to Max.  Gamry, and EIS, will never be the same.

Thanks, Rusty.  You'll always have a home here.  And yes, we welded a 316 SS splint to his leg and he's good as new. Now if we could just do something about those little nuts and bolts he keeps dropping on the carpet...
